Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site, and analytics and marketing cookies only with your consent. Details, names and retention periods are in our Cookie Policy.

Who we share data with

  • Service providers acting on our instructions under a data processing agreement: hosting, e-mail delivery, analytics (when consented).
  • Sponsors of gated content — only when you download a sponsored report and the sharing is clearly stated before you submit the form.
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect our rights.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, and apply supplementary measures where required.

How long we keep data

  • Account data — for as long as the account is active, then up to 12 months after closure.
  • Newsletter data — until you unsubscribe; unsubscribe records are kept to honour your choice.
  • Contact messages — up to 24 months after the last interaction.
  • Security logs — up to 12 months.
  • Consent records — for as long as the consent is relied upon, plus the limitation period.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, use the data subject request channel. We respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Security

We protect personal data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, two-factor authentication for staff accounts, access controls, an append-only audit trail for administrative actions and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the competent authority and, where required, you.

Children

iBetNews is a B2B service intended for industry professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page; material changes will be announced to registered users by e-mail.
